Field bosses worth hunting

These bosses roam Hyrule. They are optional, but they guard some of the best weapons and materials in the game.

Lynels

The toughest enemies in the game. Stun one with a headshot, mount it for free hits and take its powerful weapons.

Hinox

Sleeping cyclops giants. Shoot the eye to knock it down, then hit it while it recovers. They drop gear from their necklace.

Stone Talus

Living rock formations. Climb on top and smash the ore weak point for gems.

Molduga

Sand sharks in the Gerudo Desert. Lure them with bombs, then hit them while they are stunned on the sand.

Guardians

Ancient machines with deadly lasers. Parry the laser back with a shield for a massive hit.

Blood Moon bosses

Field bosses respawn after a Blood Moon, so you can farm the ones that drop what you need.

FAQ

Breath of the Wild boss questions

Who is the final boss in Breath of the Wild?

Calamity Ganon in Hyrule Castle, followed by Dark Beast Ganon in Hyrule Field.

Yes, you can head to Hyrule Castle straight from the Great Plateau. It is very hard without extra hearts and freed Divine Beasts.

Thunderblight Ganon is usually the hardest because it is fast and hits with lightning. Remove metal gear before the fight.

Each freed beast fires at Calamity Ganon at the start of the fight, removing an eighth of its health each. Freeing a beast also means that Blight Ganon won’t be waiting for you inside Hyrule Castle.

Shoot it in the face to stun it, then jump on its back and attack. Perfect dodges and shield parries also open it up for heavy damage.
