To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to all legitimate requests within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
9.1 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As stated in this Policy, we do not sell your personal information. To submit a CCPA request, contact us at [email protected].
9.2 European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our processing of your personal data is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent national legislation. Our legal bases for processing include: (a) performance of a contract with you; (b) your consent; (c) compliance with a legal obligation; and (d) our legitimate interests, where not overridden by your rights. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
10. International Data Transfers
RageQuit.gg operates globally, and your information may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including countries that may have different data protection laws than your own jurisdiction.
Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or other mechanisms recognized under applicable data protection law.
11. Third-Party Services and Integrations
The Site may integrate or link to third-party services, including social media platforms, video embeds (e.g., YouTube, Twitch), and interactive maps. When you interact with these embedded services, the third party may collect data about you according to their own privacy policies, over which we have no control.
Key third-party services we may use include:
- Google Analytics, for website usage analysis (privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy);
- Google AdSense / advertising partners, for ad delivery and measurement;
- Cloudflare, for content delivery, performance, and DDoS protection;
- Disqus or similar, for comment functionality, if enabled.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with through the Site.
12. Steam Email Alerts
On our Steam charts game pages you can ask us to email you when a game goes on sale, drops to a price you choose or reaches a new lowest price, or sets a new all time player record.
What we store. For each alert we keep your email address, the game, the type of alert, your target price if you set one, when you signed up and confirmed, when we last emailed you, and a one way hash of your IP address. The hash cannot be turned back into your IP address. We use it only to stop abuse, such as one network signing up many addresses. We do not create an account for you and we do not store your name or anything else about you.
Why we store it. To send you the alerts you asked for, and nothing else. We never send newsletters or marketing to these addresses, and we never sell or share them. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by signing up and then clicking the link in our confirmation email. No alerts are sent until you confirm.
Who sends the emails. Our emails are delivered by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), which processes your email address on our behalf as a data processor, on servers in the European Union. Brevo may only use it to deliver our emails. Our alert database runs on our own server in Finland (Hetzner).
How long we keep it. Signups that are not confirmed within 7 days are deleted automatically. Confirmed alerts are kept until you remove them. When you unsubscribe from all alerts, your email address is deleted from our alert list straight away. A log of sent emails (date, type of alert and game, without your address) is kept for 180 days so we can stay within our sending limits and fix delivery problems.
How to stop. Every alert email has a one click unsubscribe link and a “manage alerts” link where you can see and remove each alert. Your email app may also show an unsubscribe button, which works the same way.
Your rights. You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
13. RageQuit Charts Discord Bot
Our Discord bot answers slash commands such as /players and /deal with public Steam data from our own database.
The bot does not read, store or log the content of messages in your server. It only receives the commands people send to it, and it uses the user ID of the person who typed a command for a few seconds to limit how often commands can be used. We do not keep any record of who used the bot or what they asked. Discord itself handles your account and messages under its own privacy policy.
To remove the bot, a server admin can kick it from the server at any time. For questions write to [email protected].
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy and, where appropriate, by posting a prominent notice on the Site.
Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of any revised Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
