SITE STANDARDS
Last Updated: 25 October 2026
RageQuit.gg is a gaming site with four parts:
This page explains how that content is made, who works on it, and what keeps it accurate.
The short version is this. A guide earns its place by being accurate and useful, not by being fast or cheap to produce. Everything below is how we hold ourselves to that.
Every piece of content on RageQuit.gg is owned by a writer who knows the game. We do not assign topics to whoever is available. A guide on a Zelda boss goes to someone who has cleared it. A Sims build guide goes to someone who plays the Sims. That is not a small distinction.
For boss guides and walkthroughs, the writer clears the content before writing about it. We note what works, what does not, and what commonly trips players up, because that is the part most guides skip. For builds, we test them in-game rather than theorycrafting numbers on a spreadsheet. For wiki and item pages, we verify stats and descriptions directly in-game rather than copying figures from other sources.
Where a game has multiple viable approaches, we cover them rather than picking one and ignoring the rest. Where one approach is clearly better, we say so plainly.
We play the games we cover and check every guide in the game. AI helps us draft, polish and find gaps, such as a missed quest step or an item we have not covered yet. Our writers and editors decide what goes in and have the final say on every guide.
Our writers are in charge of every guide:
Every guide has a small (!) icon next to its read time. Click it to see a short note on how the guide was made.
Games change. Patches rework mechanics, rebalance stats, add content, and sometimes quietly break things that used to work. A guide that was accurate at launch can become wrong or misleading months later.
We update guides when patches affect them. Every guide shows the date it was last reviewed. If you notice something that no longer lines up with the current version of a game, let us know through the Contact page and we will look into it.
Five writers, each covering the games they play seriously:
Mogrut covers Zelda, World of Warcraft, and adventure games
HairyGringo covers Dark Souls and Diablo
Lightning94 covers The Sims, gacha games, and cozy and simulation titles
Mephasm covers Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur’s Gate 3, RPGs, and Battlefield
Kratos13 covers God of War, action games, and racing
Full bios and game coverage on each author page.
RageQuit.gg has no relationships with game publishers or developers that influence what we write or how we rate things. We do not receive early access in exchange for positive coverage. We do not take payment to feature a game, raise a score, or remove critical content.
If we ever receive a review copy of a game, we will say so on the relevant page. It does not change how we cover it.
Every factual claim in our guides comes from firsthand in-game testing or from official developer sources. We do not repackage other guides, and we do not lift descriptions from publisher press releases. When we state a number, a mechanic, or a drop rate, it is something we have verified ourselves or sourced directly from the developer.
When we are not certain about something, we say so rather than guessing.
Our Steam player counts, charts and rankings come from external data, not from our writers. Current player numbers are read from Steam’s official public data (the Steam Web API) and update automatically around the clock, so a figure may be a few minutes old. These numbers are collected and shown automatically and are not edited by hand. The full method, including how often each game is checked and the limits of the data, is on our Steam charts page.
Using our data. Our Steam player count data is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0). You are free to quote, chart and reuse the numbers, including in commercial work, as long as you credit RageQuit and link to the page the data came from, for example ragequit.gg/steam-charts.
We make mistakes. If you find one, we want to know about it. Reach us through the Contact page with the guide URL and what you think is wrong. We will check it and correct the page if you are right.
We do not delete negative feedback or comments pointing out errors. If we got something wrong, we fix it and note the correction on the page.
