Adventure Mode is where Acecraft really lives. It’s the main story, it’s where most of your Diamonds, Gold and gear come from in the early game, and it’s what unlocks almost every other mode. No pressure, though: you can retry any stage as often as you like. Here’s how to move through it without getting stuck.
What Adventure Mode Is
Adventure Mode is the main stage ladder. Cloudia is split into themed islands, each with its own look and enemies, and every chapter is a run of nine stages (Chapter 11, Goldlands, runs from 11-1 to 11-9, for example). Each stage throws waves of enemies at you and ends with a boss. New chapters keep arriving: the official notes list Chapter 13, The Metropolis, as unlocking after 12-9, and as of October 2026 the game is already up to Chapter 16, Chordwind Grove.

No Stress: starting a stage costs 5 Stamina, and that’s all a failed run costs you. Every attempt teaches you the wave patterns, so a wipe is really just a practice round.
Stars, Chests and Elite
Every stage hands out up to three stars, and each star comes from a goal you’ll see on the results screen. On the stage below, the three goals were: win, absorb 5 pink projectiles, and win within 300 seconds. Missed one? No stress, just replay the stage and go for it.

Your stars add up on the track at the left side of the Adventure map, and every chapter has star chests at 12, 24 and 36 stars. Honestly? Those chests are free rewards just sitting there, so a quick replay for a missing star is usually worth it.
The Payoff: flip the Normal / Elite switch at the bottom of the map and you get the Elite version of the same chapter. It’s tougher, and it’s where some of the best upgrade materials come from.
What Each Chapter Unlocks
Honestly? This is the best reason to keep pushing forward. Clearing the story opens up whole new systems:
| Clear | What opens up |
|---|---|
| Stage 1-2 | Navigator Pass |
| Stage 2-3 | Co-Pilot Mode (currently themed Mirror of Nightmares) |
| Your first 15 stages | Pilot recruiting (see our gacha guide) |
| Stage 4-6 | Emblems and Golden Apple Rush |
| Stage 4-9 | Element Trial |
| Stage 5-6 (with Joey) | Joey’s Pilot Sidestory |
| Stage 12-9 | Chapter 13: The Metropolis |
| In the lobby | Tempus Trek and Nemeses’ Return, plus limited-time modes like Realm Trial and Rogue Riders |

Acecraft adds new modes regularly (Golden Apple Rush, where you race five other pilots for Victory Stars, arrived in July 2026, and limited-time modes like Rogue Riders rotate through the lobby), and almost all of them are gated behind Adventure progress. So when a boss is walling you, remember it’s usually the only thing standing between you and a brand new mode. Trust me, it’s worth the push.
What to Do Between Runs
Players who cruise through Adventure Mode aren’t always better at dodging. They just use the time between runs well:
- Base Tune-Up first. Spend Gold on your aircraft’s three core stats: Endurance (HP), Momentum (ATK) and Tenacity (DEF). Keep all three moving instead of dumping everything into attack, because dying early slows you down more than hitting a bit softer. Our Modify system guide covers it in detail.
- Then Super Tech. This advanced track runs on special materials instead of Gold and unlocks stronger versions of your attachments, which is where your build starts to feel like yours.
- Equip every gear drop. Normal gear drops from Adventure stages all the time. It only gives baseline stats, but it keeps your aircraft topped up between bigger upgrades. Duplicates can be fused, too (here’s how gear fusion works).
- Keep clearing forward. New chapters beat re-farming old ones: better rewards, new enemies, new materials and new unlocks all sit ahead of you.
- Save Diamonds for gear summons. The best gear comes from the Shop’s gear summons, and the Diamonds you earn from Adventure Mode and daily quests are what pay for them.
What Adventure Mode Pays Out
- Diamonds: a big early source of free Diamonds. Later on, daily quests and daily claims become your steadier income.
- Gold: the Base Tune-Up currency you’ll never stop needing.
- Gear: baseline equipment to keep you combat-ready.
- Patrol rewards: your Patrol payouts get better the more stages you clear, so story progress quietly boosts your income too.
- Unlocks: new modes and systems, as listed in the table above.
When You Hit a Wall
Everyone gets stuck on a boss eventually. Don’t stress, here’s what usually gets you through:
- Check Modify after every chapter, not just when you’re stuck. An under-upgraded aircraft falls behind the difficulty curve before you notice.
- Learn the boss over a few attempts. Bosses telegraph their patterns, and each try makes the next one feel slower and easier. Our boss guide breaks down every fight.
- Run Elite Stages. They’re tougher versions of story stages, and they often pay out free Recruit Tickets along with other upgrade materials.
- Know what your wingmen do. A wingman’s effect can matter more than raw stats, but only if you understand what it’s doing on a busy screen. Our wingman guide explains the best picks.
- Absorb pink shots on reflex. Adventure Mode is where the Stunt rhythm becomes muscle memory. Here’s how to get pink absorption right.
- Bring a friend. Acecraft is built for two-player co-op, so a teammate can help you past a stubborn boss. See our Co-Pilot mode guide.
Acecraft Adventure Mode FAQ
How do you get 3 stars on an Adventure stage?
Each stage has three star goals shown on the results screen, such as winning, absorbing a set number of pink projectiles, and winning within a time limit. Stars fill the chapter track and open star chests at 12, 24 and 36 stars.
How many stages are in each Adventure chapter?
Each chapter has nine stages, numbered like 4-1 to 4-9. Every stage ends with a boss fight.
How much Stamina does an Adventure stage cost?
Starting a stage costs 5 Stamina. You can top up Stamina by watching ads or buying energy with Diamonds, so a lost run never costs you more than those 5 points.
When does Element Trial unlock in Acecraft?
Element Trial unlocks after you clear Adventure stage 4-9. Emblems and Golden Apple Rush unlock a little earlier, at stage 4-6, and Co-Pilot Mode opens as early as stage 2-3.
Should I replay old stages or push forward?
Push forward. New chapters pay better rewards, unlock new modes and improve your Patrol income, so replaying old stages is only worth it when you need a specific drop.
That’s the heart of Acecraft. Tune up, push forward, equip everything, and the power spikes will come. When you’re ready for more, our beginner guide covers the rest of the game, and the tier list shows which pilots to bring along.
