Quick disclaimer before the roasting starts: tier lists are opinion. This one is built from the official skill kits, the current 2026 community consensus across several ranking sources, and how each kit holds up across Adventure, bosses and the challenge modes. Let’s get into it.
Grades Are Not Tiers (Read This First)
Every pilot carries a rarity grade on the recruit screen: A (Excellent), S (Epic), SS and SP. There is no B rarity anymore. Grade is rarity. The tiers below are performance, meaning how well a pilot actually clears content right now. An S grade pilot can sit in A tier, and a cheap A grade pilot can still carry you through the early chapters.
- Sharpshot: focused streams of fire. Consistent damage at range.
- Crusher: heavier, explosive shots, often with splash damage.
- Vanguard: riskier, close range kits with a bigger payoff when you commit.

S+ Tier: The Pilots Running the Meta
Vincent is the first SS pilot and plays like it. His Stunt sends homing Wind Quills dashing through enemies and blows away small projectiles, his passive unfolds the Wings of the Keeper for an enhanced Main Cannon and Stunt, and his Gale Dominion Ultimate keeps summoning more Quills. His Signature Wingman even creates pink projectiles for you. This is absolutely cracked.
Blazewing Ekko is the SP Crusher version of your starter pilot, and nothing about him is starter level. Attacks build Rage Energy, maxing it drops Enhanced Parts that create Fury Zones, and his Ultimate clears projectiles while hitting every enemy on screen.
Wukong fires a flame projectile plus crossing fireballs, turns absorbed pink shots into charging Doppelgangers, and his Heavenshaker Ultimate drops him into Great Sage mode, massively boosting his Main Cannon and Stunt.
Tom is still the Crusher benchmark. Explosive marbles, TNT drops ahead of his plane, and a Trash Blast Ultimate that makes him invulnerable while vacuuming debris into enemies. Silvanna, the second SS pilot, sits here on community consensus, but her full kit breakdown is still thin, so read her skill screen before you go all in.
Drakuku: A Solid S
Drakuku, the vampire prince of Evernight Clockwork Island, arrived on October 2 (his recruit opened that day). He is an SP-Tier Crusher. After a month of play he has settled at S: a strong Crusher pick, just short of the S+ group. Spina, the S-Tier Vanguard hedgehog grandma who arrived alongside him, stays unranked for now.
S Tier: Elite Picks
- Elsa: the friendliest boss melter in the game. Her Stunt powers up shots after absorbing pink projectiles, and her Ultimate brings twin machine guns.
- Jerry: absorbed pink shots become fruit he throws to refill Ultimate energy, and his Ultimate makes him invulnerable while bombs rain down.
- Joey: forked cone shots and a drill Ultimate that tears through enemy lines.
- Pris: a laser that charges an overload Energy Cannon, Tracking Missiles from her Stunt, and a projectile blocking Energy Orb Ultimate.
- Vivienne: Crystal Mirrors fire Starlight Beams after absorption, and her Ultimate clears projectiles.
- Nepheria: penetrating Sandblades for every pink shot absorbed and a Golden Realm Ultimate that hits every enemy and clears projectiles.
Sylas and Summer round out the tier. Sylas floods the screen with Whimcaps from his Miracle Factory, while Summer is the Vanguard exception, though she has historically been hard to get.
A Tier: Strong, Just Not Meta Warping
Most of this tier is S grade pilots who are genuinely good. Naomi sprays paint for continuous damage and her Ultimate clears projectiles. Edith, Asher and Leo are solid mains if you pulled them. Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck are more than a gimmick, and Botto holds up fine.
From the A grade roster, Charlie and Amelia are the best free to play friendly options and carry new accounts a long way.
B and C Tier
Ekko teaches you the game and then falls off. Ryan and Scott are playable but outclassed. Ironarm sits in C: a close range Vanguard who has to live in the danger zone without the payoff.
Stop Doing This: pumping Power Cubes into Ekko because he was your first pilot. I’m begging you. Move on.
