You can absolutely play Acecraft without spending a cent and still keep up. The game is generous with tickets and Diamonds if you show up, and stingy only with players who waste them. The whole free to play game comes down to two things: collect everything, then spend it with discipline.

Here’s the play, updated as of the October 2026 update that added SP pilot Drakuku. Let’s get into it.

Know Your Currencies

  • Diamonds: the premium currency. A single Recruit costs 300 Diamonds and a ten pull costs 3,000. Treat every Diamond like it matters, because it does.
  • Recruit Tickets and Skyward Recruit Tickets: free pulls. Regular tickets go into the standard Recruit, Skyward tickets into the featured pilot banners.
  • Gold and EXP: pilot levels and upgrades. Never enough, so focus them.
  • Power Cubes: handed out by events, Card Collection Seasons and Path of Growth. Spend them on the pilots you actually fly.
  • Honorary Flight Medals: spent in the Shop, which got more redeemable items in the Chapter 12 update.

Every Free Income Stream

Free players win by never leaving rewards on the table. This is where your tickets and Diamonds come from.

Most free rewards start in the lobby: Flight Log, Patrol and the challenge modes.

Why This Slaps: none of these need skill. They need you to log in. Our daily challenges guide has the fastest route through all of them, and our codes page covers the free code rewards.

The F2P Spending Rules

  1. Redeem codes before you pull. Codes often include tickets and Diamonds. Free pulls first, paid currency last.
  2. Pull in tens. Every 10 draws guarantees an Excellent or higher pilot, so ten pulls at 3,000 Diamonds are the clean way to spend.
  3. Save Skyward tickets for pilots you want. Featured banners rotate roughly monthly (Nepheria, Blazewing Ekko, Silvanna and Drakuku all landed between July and October 2026). You cannot chase them all, so pick.
  4. Do not refill with Diamonds. Diamonds belong on pulls, not on convenience.
  5. Buy upgrades for your main, not shiny stuff. If a shop item does not make your current team stronger, skip it.

Stop Doing This: pulling single draws on every banner that looks cool. That is how free players end up with five half built pilots and no carry.

Build a Small Core, Not a Big Roster

Recruiting opens after you clear 15 stages, and the pilot pool runs from A (Excellent) through S (Epic) to the SS and SP tiers. Free players get the most out of a tight core: one main, plus one or two backups.

  • Focus Gold and EXP: spreading resources across the whole roster levels nobody. Commit to a few pilots.
  • Match elements: an Epic Wingman on a pilot of the same element gives +25% Base Attributes for free. Read our element matching guide.
  • Amplify what you use: Amplification Levels raise a pilot’s power, and featured pilots even pay out Path of Growth rewards for them. Our Pilot Amplification guide explains it.
  • Collect Outfits: activating an Outfit in the Archives permanently boosts that pilot’s stat. Free power is free power.
  • Use the Modify system: permanent stat upgrades keep paying off no matter which pilot you fly.

Modify upgrades are permanent, so they never go to waste.

Not sure who to build? Our tier list and reroll guide help you pick a main worth the investment.

Skill Is the Best Free Upgrade

Here’s the thing whales cannot buy: knowing how to fly. Absorbing pink projectiles is the core skill. Lift your finger and your plane stops and soaks up pink shots, charging your Stunt. Hold your finger down to move and auto fire. Players who master the timing clear stages that should be out of their power range.

Also save your Ultimate for bosses. Burning it on small enemies is the free player’s version of setting Diamonds on fire.

The Daily F2P Checklist

  • Flight Log: read today’s quests first, claim everything last.
  • Free claims: grab the daily Diamonds in Recruit and the Store.
  • Quick Patrol and Nemeses’ Return: run both every day.
  • Active events: Fest Sign-in, Co-Pilot and new Tempus Trek periods pay out, then disappear.
  • Navigator Pass: knock out the weekly missions before the reset.

Acecraft F2P FAQ

Is Acecraft free to play friendly?

Yes. Daily quests, Fest Sign-ins, the Navigator Pass free track and events give a steady flow of tickets and Diamonds if you log in consistently.

How much does a Recruit cost in Acecraft?

300 Diamonds for one pull, 3,000 Diamonds for ten. Every 10 draws guarantees an Excellent or higher pilot.

Should F2P players pull on every new pilot?

No. New pilots arrive roughly every month. Save Skyward Recruit Tickets for the pilots that fit your team.

What should F2P players spend Diamonds on?

Ten pulls on banners you have planned for. Avoid using Diamonds on refills or impulse shop buys.

When can I start recruiting pilots?

Recruiting unlocks after you clear 15 stages in Adventure mode.

GG: free to play in Acecraft is a discipline game. Log in every day, claim everything, build a small core and pull only when it matters. Do this. Thank me later.
