Tears of the Kingdom guide
In Tears of the Kingdom a weapon is only half the story: what you fuse to it decides how hard it hits. This page explains how Fuse works, which materials and arrows are worth saving, and how to get the Master Sword.
You learn Fuse in the In-isa Shrine on the Great Sky Island. Our Fuse guide covers every trick in detail.
| Material | Fuse it to | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Silver Lynel horns | Swords and spears | Some of the highest attack bonuses in the game |
| Gleeok horns | Weapons or arrows | Big damage with a fire, ice or shock blast |
| Captain Construct horns | Weapons | Strong, easy-to-farm attack boosts |
| Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz | Weapons | Fire, ice or lightning effects on every hit |
| Keese Eyeball | Arrows | Arrows that home in on enemies |
| Fire Fruit, Ice Fruit, Shock Fruit | Arrows | Elemental arrows without buying them |
| Bomb Flower | Arrows | Explosive arrows that break rocks and stagger enemies |
| Muddle Bud | Arrows | Confuses enemies so they fight each other |
The Master Sword is the one weapon that never breaks for good: when it runs low it recharges instead.
The Geoglyphs quest tells the story of the sword and leads you to it.
The sword is lodged in the head of the Light Dragon, which circles high above Hyrule.
Get above the dragon, glide down onto its back and make your way to the head.
Reach the sword on the dragon's head and pull it free. You need two full stamina wheels for the pull; hearts don't matter this time.
The Master Sword can be fused like any weapon, which makes it even stronger.
When it runs out of energy it needs a few minutes to recharge before you can swing it again.
A decayed sword with a good horn beats most clean weapons you find.
Monster camps refill on Blood Moons, so the same camp can supply horns again and again.
A rocket on a shield launches you into the air for a bow shot or a quick escape.
A weapon on its last hit still deals full damage when thrown.
Hestu expands your weapon, bow and shield slots in exchange for Korok Seeds.
Rubies, sapphires and topaz add elemental damage, so don't sell them all.
Most weapons on the surface are decayed. They are meant to be fused with materials like monster horns, which add most of the attack power.
Silver Lynel horns and Gleeok horns are among the strongest. Captain Construct horns are easier to farm and still very strong.

Yes. Each fused arrow uses one material, so stock up on eyeballs, fruit and bomb flowers before big fights.
