Ever wanted to play a little golf in Hyrule? Kamatukis Shrine hands you a pendulum, a ball and a hole on the far side of a gap, and asks you to make the shot. The trial is called A Precise Strike, and it is all about how far back you pull.

There’s no wrong way to approach this. You can reset the ball as many times as you like, so a little trial and error is the whole point.

Where to Find Kamatukis Shrine

  • Region: Deep Akkala on the Surface, northeast of Death Mountain.
  • Landmark: Skull Lake, the lake shaped like a skull on your map. The shrine sits on the eastern side of the lake, not far from the cliffs around it.
  • Coordinates: roughly 3431, 3355, 0071.
  • Nearest tower: Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower reveals the area; the shrine is a long way north of it.

Take Your Time: Deep Akkala can be dark and stormy, so drop a map pin on the east side of Skull Lake before you set off. It saves a lot of wandering.

How to Solve A Precise Strike

Both rooms work the same way. A long arm hangs from the ceiling right above the ball. Attach a block to it with Ultrahand and you have a pendulum. Pull it back, let go, and it swings down into the ball.

  • Reset: if the ball rolls off, hit the obelisk switch to spawn a fresh ball.
  • Easily missable, so heads up: stop the pendulum before you reset. If it is still swinging when the new ball appears, it will knock it away.
  • No shortcuts: you cannot just carry the ball across with Ultrahand; the gap is too far, so the swing is the way.

The Side Room First (Chest)

I’d head left first. This room is optional, but it holds the chest, and the gap is shorter, so it is a gentle warm up.

  • Step 1: attach the metal block to the arm above the ball.
  • Step 2: watch the moving platform with the hole. Pull the pendulum back and release it as the platform approaches the middle of its path, not when it is right in front of the ball.
  • Step 3: don’t pull too high here. Too much speed makes the ball bounce straight off the platform.
  • Step 4: once the ball drops in, the gate opens. Grab the Mighty Zonaite Longsword from the chest.

The Main Room (Exit)

Now the real shot. The gap is much wider, there is a small mound right after the start, and the hole on the far side sits at an angle, so the ball needs plenty of power.

  • Step 1: attach the block to the arm again.
  • Step 2: stand slightly left of center and pull the pendulum back and up as high as it will go.
  • Step 3: release it. The ball should clear the mound and roll across toward the hole.
  • Step 4: if it drifts off line, stop the pendulum, reset the ball and nudge your angle a little. Small changes matter.
  • Step 5: when the ball lands, the way to the exit opens. Collect your Light of Blessing. Down in the Depths, the matching Lightroot is Sikutamak, the shrine’s name spelled backwards.

Rewards

  • Light of Blessing: four of them buy a Heart Container or a Stamina Vessel at a Goddess Statue.
  • Mighty Zonaite Longsword: from the side room chest. Zonaite weapons get extra power when you fuse Zonai devices to them, so it is a fun one to experiment with in our Fuse guide.
  • Checklist: one shrine closer to all 152. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.

Tips for a Smoother Swing

  • Remember your angle: once a shot lands close, repeat that exact pull with only tiny changes.
  • Watch the platform, not the ball: in the side room, timing the release matters more than power.
  • Always still the pendulum: before every reset. It is the most common reason a fresh ball goes flying.
  • Stay calm: some players land it first try, some need ten. Both are normal.

Lore Connection: this random detail actually connects to the bigger story. The Zonai built these shrines as tests, and so many of them, like this one, are really lessons in Ultrahand and physics. The same thinking powers your vehicles and gadgets later, so a few golf swings here are good practice for Autobuild builds down the road.
