Kisinona Shrine is one of those quick Tears of the Kingdom shrines that looks confusing for about thirty seconds, then clicks. It has one room, one optional chest and one big wheel that needs to spin fast enough to power the small turbines around it.
Here’s how to find it, grab the chest, solve the Wind Power trial and walk out with a Light of Blessing in a few minutes.

Where to Find Kisinona Shrine
Kisinona sits on a rocky rise just north of Foothill Stable in Eldin Canyon, near the western shore of Cephla Lake. It’s a surface shrine, so no Depths or sky detours are needed.
- From the stable: Head to Foothill Stable, walk north along the edge of the hill and climb the short cliff. The shrine entrance is right at the top.
- From the sky: Launch from the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower and glide east toward Cephla Lake. Aim for the west shore and you’ll spot the shrine’s glow.
- Fast travel: Kisinona is the shrine closest to Foothill Stable, so once you activate it, it becomes your warp point for this part of Eldin Canyon.
(Pro tip: Foothill Stable is a familiar stop if you played the first game. Our Breath of the Wild Foothill Stable guide shows the same spot before the Upheaval.)
Kisinona Shrine Walkthrough: Wind Power Solution
Step inside and you’ll see a large wheel standing in the middle of the room. Smaller turbines with lights surround it. On the floor sit Zonai fans, and up on the left wall is a ledge with a treasure chest.
The goal: get the big wheel spinning fast enough that every small turbine turns and every light goes green. Do the chest first, while the fans are free.
Step 1: Grab the Chest With an Updraft
- Pick up a fan: Grab one of the Zonai fans with Ultrahand.
- Point it up: Set it on the floor below the chest ledge on the left wall, rotated so the blades face the ceiling.
- Switch it on: Hit the fan with your weapon to start it.
- Ride the air: Jump into the column of wind, open your paraglider and drift up onto the ledge.
- Loot: Open the chest for a Mighty Construct Bow.
Oh, and if you overshoot the ledge, just drop back down and try again. The fan keeps running.
Step 2: Mount Two Fans on the Wheel
- Fan one: Take a fan with Ultrahand and stick it to one side of the big wheel, lying on its side so it blows along the wheel’s face rather than into it.
- Fan two: Stick the second fan on the opposite side of the wheel.
- Check the direction: The two fans must blow in opposite directions. Because they sit on opposite sides, that pushes the wheel around the same way, and the forces add up instead of cancelling out.
- Attach before starting: Glue both fans on before switching either of them on. Placing a fan on a wheel that’s already turning is a pain.

Step 3: Spin It Up and Finish
- Activate: Strike a fan to start it. If the other one stays quiet, hit it too.
- Watch the lights: The big wheel spins, the small turbines around it start turning and their lights switch to green.
- Walk through: Once every light is green, the door opens. Head through and touch the altar for your Light of Blessing.
Nailed it? If the wheel barely moves, one fan is fighting the other. Flip one of them around and try again.
Why the Wheel Won’t Spin (and Quick Fixes)
| Problem | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Wheel stalls or wobbles | Both fans blow the same direction | Rotate one fan so they blow opposite ways |
| Wheel turns slowly, lights stay off | Only one fan is running | Hit the second fan as well |
| Fan won’t stick | Something is in the way | Clear the area around the wheel first |
| Spinning by hand fails | Ultrahand rotation is too slow | Use both fans instead |
| Can’t reach the chest | Fan placed too far from the wall | Move it right under the ledge |
Your best bet if everything looks wrong: pull both fans off, set them on the floor and rebuild step by step. Nothing in this shrine can hurt you, so experiment freely.
Kisinona Shrine Rewards
- Light of Blessing: Trade four at any Goddess Statue for a Heart Container or a Stamina Vessel.
- Mighty Construct Bow: A solid early bow from the chest, worth grabbing before you leave.
- Travel point: Once the shrine is activated, you can warp back to this corner of Eldin Canyon any time. Its Depths counterpart is the Anonisik Lightroot, the shrine’s name spelled backwards.
- Practice: Mounting fans sideways on a wheel is the same idea you’ll use for fan boats and fan carts later.

Kisinona Shrine FAQ
Where is Kisinona Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom?
In Eldin Canyon on the surface, just north of Foothill Stable near the west shore of Cephla Lake, at roughly 2567, 1244, 0173.
What is the Kisinona Shrine solution?
Attach two Zonai fans to opposite sides of the big wheel, blowing in opposite directions, then hit them. The wheel spins, the small turbines light up green and the door opens.
What is in the Kisinona Shrine chest?
A Mighty Construct Bow. Use a fan pointed upward under the left ledge to glide up to it.
Can you spin the wheel with Ultrahand?
Not fast enough. Turning it by hand won’t light the turbines, so use both fans.
Pro Tip: grab the chest before you touch the wheel, and always attach both fans before you start either one. Do that and Kisinona is a three minute shrine. Head to Ekochiu next door while you’re in the area.
