Let me paint the picture: you are gliding over the Tabantha skies, you spot a big island with a pond, a lighthouse-like mirror and a cave, and there is no shrine anywhere. No door, no glow, nothing. I’m not gonna lie, that confused me the first time too.
Ga-ahisas Shrine is a Rauru’s Blessing shrine, so the puzzle is the island itself. Bring light, a bow and something that breaks rock, and you will be done in a few minutes.
Ga-ahisas Shrine Location
So here’s the deal: the shrine is hidden under Lightcast Island, part of the Tabantha Sky Archipelago high above the western side of Hyrule.
- Island: Lightcast Island, just north of the island with Ganos Shrine.
- Shrine type: Rauru’s Blessing. No trial inside, just a reward.
- Puzzle trigger: a Dragon Ring (the round stone altar) on the northwest side of the island.
- What to bring: Brightbloom Seeds or another light source, a bow with arrows, a rock breaking weapon or bombs, and some cold resistance.

How to Reach Lightcast Island
The easy way in is from Ganos Shrine, if you have already activated it.
- Warp to Ganos Shrine. A Flux Construct III arena sits just below it, but you do not need to fight it.
- Grab the flyer. Drop to the neighboring island, which has a prebuilt flying device. Attach the Batteries lying nearby so you have the energy for the trip.
- Fly north. Lightcast Island is the larger, higher island just north of Ganos Shrine.
No Ganos Shrine yet? Launch from the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower, glide north to the North Gerudo Sky Archipelago, use rockets on the floating Zonai platforms to climb higher, then head north to the Tabantha Sky Archipelago. A catapult there can be turned toward Lightcast Island. It is a longer trip, so pack stamina food.
Ga-ahisas Shrine Walkthrough
The Setup: the whole puzzle is about bouncing a beam of light through a dark cave with Zonai Mirrors. Most of the pieces are already there. Your job is to see them.
- Activate the Dragon Ring. Head to the northwest corner of the island and touch the ring. The pond drains, and so does the flooded cave.
- Break into the cave. Rubble blocks the way. Smash it with a rock fused weapon, a hammer or a Bomb Flower.
- Light it up. The cave is pitch dark. Toss Brightbloom Seeds as you go, or eat a glowing meal to turn Link into a walking lamp.
- Grab the two mirrors. An altar inside holds two Zonai Mirrors. Place the first where the beam of light hits the floor.
- Place the second mirror. Set it on the small island in the drained pond and aim the first mirror’s light at it.
- Chain the beam. From the second mirror, bounce the light to the mirrors already standing on the next two islands. Rotate each one with Ultrahand until the beam lands on the next.
- Find the opening. Light a Brightbloom Seed near the last island to spot a gap in the wall, then aim the final mirror into it. The light hits a mirror on the ceiling of the next room.
- Deal with the Construct. Drop into that room. A Construct stands in front of a light switch. Shoot it from above or take it down in melee.
- Take its Mirror Shield. The Construct drops a Mirror Shield. Equip it.
- Hit the switch. Stand in the beam and angle the shield so the reflected light hits the switch. The walls lower and stairs appear.
- Head down. Take either staircase to the hidden room with Ga-ahisas Shrine.
(Pro tip: if a mirror will not line up, look at where the beam lands, not at the mirror. The light tells you exactly how far off you are.)

Here’s Where It Gets Wild: the Mirror Shield is the last puzzle piece, and the devs hid it in plain sight by handing it to the guard standing right in front of the switch. When I first got that switch to light up, I actually laughed out loud.
Rewards
| Reward | Where |
|---|---|
| Zonaite Helm | Chest on the ledge above the light switch |
| Mirror Shield | Dropped by the Construct guarding the switch |
| Star Fragment | Chest inside Ga-ahisas Shrine |
| Light of Blessing | Altar at the end of the shrine |
The Payoff: the Zonaite Helm is one piece of the Zonaite armor set, the gear built around Zonai devices and their batteries. To reach its chest, use Ascend through the platform above the switch, or simply climb up.
Star Fragments are a key upgrade material at Great Fairy Fountains, so do not sell this one.
Pro Tips
- Pack Brightbloom Seeds: you can solve this in the dark, but why would you?
- Bring cold protection: the high sky islands are chilly. Warm clothes or a spicy dish keep your hearts safe.
- Use Ultrahand gently: small rotations work better than big swings when aiming mirrors. Our Ultrahand guide covers the controls.
- Shoot from above: pick off the Construct with arrows before you drop in.
- Fuse a rock: a rock fused weapon breaks the rubble without wasting bombs. See our Fuse guide.
