You’re holding a weapon that deletes anything in one hit. It also deletes YOU in one hit. Welcome to the Ruvo Korbah Shrine, where that trade-off gets tested.

Good news: this one isn’t the hardest shrine in the DLC. Play it smart and it’s a free win. You’re welcome.

Where to Find Ruvo Korbah Shrine

This shrine is part of the EX The Champions’ Ballad DLC on the Great Plateau. It won’t show up until you’ve earned the right to see it.

  • Location: South of the Temple of Time, in the fields near the Old Man’s hut.
  • Requirement: You need the Champions’ Ballad DLC quest started, and the Divine Beasts finished first.
  • The Catch: The shrine is hidden until you wipe out the enemy camp in the plains.
  • Shrine Name: A Major Test of Strength+.
  • Your Weapon: The One-Hit Obliterator from the Shrine of Resurrection. Infinite damage, one-hit death. Respect it.

Ruvo Korbah Shrine Walkthrough

Two phases here: clear the camp, then beat the Guardian. Both are easier than they look if you stop treating the Obliterator like a security blanket.

  • Step 1: Head to the Temple of Time. The bluffs let you overlook the camp without getting spotted by the archer scouts.
  • Step 2: Scout the camp. Expect Bokoblins, Lizalfos and a Moblin. Some Bokoblins ride stal-horses with long spears, and others use Korok Leaves to blow you off balance (the wind can’t hurt you, but it’ll wreck your aim).
  • Step 3: Snipe the Lizalfos archers first. Take them out before they can rally the camp. The Phrenic Bow from the earlier shrine is perfect for this.
  • Step 4: Move in and let the enemies come to you. Fight carefully so you don’t get swarmed. Shoot Bokoblins off their steeds to stun them, then finish them with the Obliterator.
  • Step 5: Once the camp is dead, the shrine appears. Walk in and meet your Guardian.
  • Step 6: Win the first strike. Raise your shield and strafe to dodge its explosive shots as it closes in. When it pulls back its spear or axe, dash in and hit it. One hit, done.

Prefer the ranged route? There’s no secret to this room, so shoot the Guardian’s eye to stun it. A regular arrow works, a shock arrow is better, and an ancient arrow is best. Then close in and finish it.

  • Step 7: Grab the 10 Bomb Arrows from the chest.
  • Step 8: Look for the Monk. Plot twist: there isn’t one. Step on the plate where the Monk should be standing.
  • Step 9: The pit the Guardian came from lowers, revealing your path down. Follow it.

Feeling ballsy? You can run up to the bridge and destroy it with your Obliterator. Fun option, but know what you’re doing before you swing at scenery.

Rewards

  • 10 Bomb Arrows: Sitting in the chest right after the Guardian Scout IV fight. Stepping on the floor switch in that back room lowers the central platform into basement tunnels with two more chests: a Small Key and a Giant Ancient Core. Free ammo for the rest of the DLC.
  • Shrine Progress: One more DLC shrine cleared on your way through the Great Plateau challenges.
  • Bragging Rights: You beat a Guardian without breaking a sweat. GG.

Pro Tips

  • Bows First: The Obliterator is your backup, not your opener. Use arrows to stun, then swing when enemies close the distance. (Pro tip: stock up on every arrow type before you start, because you’ll burn through them.)
  • Stop Doing This: Running into the camp with the Obliterator out. One stray hit, even from something silly like bees, and you’re back at the start. I’m begging you.
  • Use the High Ground: The Temple of Time bluffs give you free sightlines. Take them.
  • Stun Mounted Bokoblins: Shoot them off their stal-horses, then follow up with a kill.
  • Shield Up Against the Guardian: Strafe while it advances, then dash in on its wind-up. Patience wins this fight.
  • Ancient Arrows: If you’ve got them, the Guardian’s eye is the perfect place to spend one.

Why This Matters

The Ruvo Korbah Shrine teaches you the whole philosophy of the Champions’ Ballad. Your best weapon is also your biggest liability, so your bow and your patience do the heavy lifting.

Master the camp, win the first strike on the Guardian, and the rest of the Great Plateau gets a lot friendlier. Stop sleeping on your arrows.

So what’s your opening move on the camp: Phrenic Bow snipe from the bluffs, or full send? Drop your strategy in the comments and tell me how many times the Obliterator got you.
