Rails. Panels. Fans. Total chaos waiting to happen. The Jiukoum Shrine is one of the most fun build-it-yourself puzzles in Tears of the Kingdom, and you’re about to clear it without a single wasted minute.

If you’ve been standing at the entrance watching your panel slide off into the void… bro. Let’s get into it.

Where to Find Jiukoum Shrine

This shrine sits on the surface in Faron Grasslands, in the Popla Foothills area. It’s just east of the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower, so you can’t miss it.

  • Region: Faron Grasslands (Surface), Popla Foothills.
  • Shrine Name: Jiukoum Shrine, with the trial called “Built for Rails.”
  • Coordinates: Around 0867, -2276, 0141. Trust your eyes once you’re close. Its Depths counterpart is the Muokuij Lightroot.
  • Fastest Route: Unlock the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower, fast travel, and walk east.
  • No Tower Yet? Head south from the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower instead.
  • The Gimmick: Ultrahand, a pile of panels, and rails with almost zero friction.

That last one is the whole shrine. Anything you put on those rails slides, so you’re building rail-surfing vehicles.

(Pro tip: Pop the tower first. It makes the shrine a 30-second walk, and you’re welcome.)

This shrine has several rooms, and each one needs a slightly different build. Follow the steps in order and you’ll be out of here fast.

  • Step 1: Build Your First Platform. In the first room, grab the two square panels on the left side. Use Ultrahand to stick them side by side into one long rectangle. Line them up cleanly. If it’s right, you’ll see the rail appear on top.
  • Step 2: Hop on the Rails. Place the rectangle on the first track, ideally between the walls for a snug fit. Climb on and let it carry you to the next landing.
  • Step 3: Grab the Runaway Panel. In the next room, a panel slides away down the rail. Quickly snag it with Ultrahand before it’s gone. Don’t let it get away from you.
  • Step 4: Get the Chest. There’s a chest on a ledge across a small abyss. Stick your panels together end to end to make a long bridge or ramp, then walk across to the Sticky Elixir inside.
  • Step 5: Build the T Shape. For the next track, make a T. Attach a second panel as the stem, about a quarter of the way into the long top panel. The top lets you ride the rail, and the stem keeps the whole thing from tipping off.
  • Step 6: Ride to the Final Area. Set the T on the rail, hop on, and slide through. Keep that same device handy for the finale.
  • Step 7: Add Fans for the Climb. The last section merges a double track into a single track that runs uphill. You need momentum and a device that fits both tracks. Attach fans evenly across the top and add a single fin to the middle, making a boxy M shape. Point the fans so they push you forward up the rail.
  • Step 8: Send It. Hop on, activate the fans, and ride it up to the exit. Shrine goal reached.

The Play: Build wide at the start, build stable in the middle, and build powered for the finish. That’s the whole shrine.

(Pro tip: Some guides show an alternate build for the early rails. Make a square from three boards with one side missing, set it on the rail with the gap facing down, then attach a fourth board underneath before it slides off. Different route, same result.)

Rewards

  • Light of Blessing: Finish the shrine and you get one. Stack four of them for a heart container or stamina upgrade.
  • Sticky Elixir: It’s in the chest across the small abyss. Skip it and I’m judging you.
  • Shrine Unlocked: You get a new fast travel point on the Faron map.

Easy rewards for a quick clear. GG.

Pro Tips

  • Line It Up: If the panels don’t snap with a clean connection, rotate and try again. A sloppy join is how platforms fall apart mid-ride.
  • Move Fast: The sliding panel won’t wait for you. Grab it the second it enters the room.
  • Use Everything: You have five platforms in total, including the two from the first room. Don’t leave any behind.
  • Keep Your Device: The T shape carries into the final area. Rebuild only if you have to.
  • Balance Your Fans: Space them evenly across the top. Lopsided fans mean a lopsided ride, and that’s a one-way trip off the rail.
  • Stop Doing This: Don’t build a platform that’s too narrow for the track. It’ll wobble, tip, and send your build to the shadow realm.

(Pro tip: If a build keeps failing, widen it first. Stability beats cleverness every time.)

Why This Shrine Matters

Jiukoum isn’t just a quick Light of Blessing. It’s a crash course in how Ultrahand physics work, covering friction, balance, and thrust.

Learn these builds here and you’ll be making rail rides, fan-powered gliders, and stable platforms across Hyrule without thinking twice. This is absolutely cracked practice for the bigger builds later.

So go clear it. Grab that Sticky Elixir, take your Light of Blessing, and move on to the next shrine.

Now I want to know: did you go with the T shape, or did you find a sketchier build that still worked? Drop it in the comments and flex your weirdest rail rider.
