Breath of the Wild Cooking Simulator
Pick up to five ingredients and see what comes out of the pot: the dish, its effect and level, how long it lasts, hearts restored, sell price and the chance of a critical success. Every result uses the game's own cooking rules, and the link updates so you can share a combo.

How cooking works in BOTW
Which dish you get
The game checks the pot against its recipe list in a fixed order and cooks the first match. Extra ingredients never break a recipe, so you can add effect ingredients freely. Food mixed with monster parts or critters gives Dubious Food, and any ore, gem or piece of wood in the pot turns it into Rock-Hard Food.
Effects and levels
Every ingredient with an effect adds its potency points. If two different effects end up in the same pot, they cancel out and the dish has no effect. For timed buffs the total potency decides the level (for example, attack, defense and speed reach level 2 at 5 points and level 3 at 7). Hearty ingredients add whole extra hearts, energizing ones restore stamina and enduring ones add a temporary extra stamina wheel portion.
Duration
Each ingredient adds 30 seconds. Each ingredient that carries the effect adds the effect's own base time too: 0:20 for attack and defense, 0:30 for speed, 1:30 for stealth and 2:00 for heat, cold, shock and flame resistance. Monster parts in elixirs add 0:40, 1:20 or 2:40 each, and extras such as Cane Sugar, Goron Spice, Bird Eggs or dragon parts add more. The cap is 30:00.
Hearts and sell price
Cooking doubles the hearts of the ingredients, plus any bonus the recipe gives and the bonus of extras such as Acorns or dragon parts. Hearty dishes always heal you fully. The sell price is the total value of the ingredients times a multiplier that grows with the number of ingredients (1.5 for one up to 2.8 for five), rounded up to the next 10 rupees and never more than the ingredients would cost in a shop.
Critical cooking
Each pot has a chance of a critical success: 5% per different ingredient, up to 25% with five different ones, plus the highest bonus of any ingredient in the pot (Cane Sugar adds 30%, Goron Spice, Goat Butter and Bird Eggs 10%). Star Fragments and dragon parts make it certain. A critical success adds three hearts, a stronger effect or five more minutes, picked at random from what is not maxed yet. Monster Extract rules out a critical success and randomizes the result instead.

FAQ
How accurate is the cooking simulator?
It follows the game's cooking rules step by step: recipe matching, potency and level, duration, hearts, sell price and critical cooking. Random outcomes such as a critical success or Monster Extract are shown as the possible results instead of a guess.
What does a critical success do?
A critical success adds one bonus at random: three extra hearts, one more effect level, or five more minutes of duration. Which bonuses are possible depends on what is already maxed out. More different ingredients raise the chance, Cane Sugar adds 30%, and Star Fragments and dragon parts guarantee it.
What does Monster Extract do?
Monster Extract turns cooking into a gamble: the duration becomes 1:00, 10:00 or 30:00, and either the hearts or the effect level drop to the minimum or go up. Dishes with Monster Extract can never get a critical success.
