Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios have launched the Battlefield 6 Game of the Year Edition, timed with the start of Season 5: Siege of Vegas. The bundle packs the base game with progression shortcuts, a Battle Pass token and a stack of cosmetics, and the official trailer is live now.

What’s Included in the Battlefield 6 Game of the Year Edition

EA is pitching this as the most complete version of Battlefield 6 so far. Here is what you get:

  • Battlefield 6 base game
  • Ultimate Shortcut Kit: instant access to fully progressed weapons and attachments across all four classes
  • Battlefield Pro token: Battle Pass access plus tier skips
  • Trusted Reserve Pax Armata Support skin: an exclusive soldier skin
  • Phantom Pack: multiple soldier skins, weapon packages, XP boosts and extra cosmetics

On the content side, you can fight across land, air and sea on 20 maps (19 available now, with the 20th planned for November 10), with 70+ weapons, 30+ vehicles and more than 700,000 Portal experiences to dig through.

Season 5: Siege of Vegas Goes Live

The GOTY Edition lands on the same day as Season 5, the biggest seasonal update yet. Highlights include:

  • New maps, including Vegas Strip and Area 51
  • New weapons and vehicles
  • Rapid Royale, a free-to-play mode in REDSEC
  • Ranked play
  • Limited-time events

Price, Platforms and Game Pass

The Battlefield 6 Game of the Year Edition is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through the major storefronts. The full edition is listed at around $100, with temporary discounts at launch and upgrade options for players who already own the game.

Update, 31 October 2026: The launch discount ended on 20 October. The Game of the Year Edition is now at its regular price of about $100, and existing owners can upgrade for $30.

Battlefield 6 is also joining Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass at the same time, which gives players another way in without buying the full bundle.

Battlefield 6 Steam Player Count

Season 5 has already given Battlefield 6 a clear bump on Steam. According to our Battlefield 6 Steam charts and player count page, 51,357 people were playing at the time of writing, well above the October average of 29,353.

Previous seasons followed the same pattern, with peaks climbing to 80,250 in May and 84,038 in July before settling again. The real test for Siege of Vegas is whether it can hold players past the first few weeks, especially now that Game Pass brings in a new wave of players on Xbox and PC.

Is the GOTY Edition Worth It?

Community reaction is split. Some players like having all the extra content and progression shortcuts in one package, especially newcomers who want to skip the early grind. Others question the “Game of the Year” branding and the price, particularly with the base game now on Game Pass.

Our take: if you are new to Battlefield 6 and plan to play for the long haul, the bundle saves time. If you already own the game or have Game Pass, the cosmetics and shortcut kit are the main draw, so wait for a discount if those are not a priority.

Battlefield 6’s First Year

The release marks a big year-one milestone. Battlefield 6 launched in October 2025 and finished as the best-selling shooter of that year. We will update this story as the Season 5 patch notes and player feedback roll in.
