Field Guide Pages are the glowing collectibles tucked into every corner of Hogwarts Legacy: behind portraits, on top of statues, circling above Hogsmeade rooftops. They fill in your Field Guide with little lore entries, feed the challenges in your menu, and a full set of the Revelio ones is required for the Collector’s Edition trophy.

Here’s how to tell every page type apart, which spell each one needs, and how to sweep them efficiently without running the same corridor five times.

How Many Field Guide Pages Are There?

The number you’ll see quoted most is 236 Field Guide Pages in total. Of those, 150 are Revelio Pages, the ones tracked in your Collections menu. The other 86 are puzzle pages you collect with Accio and other spells. Some guides count a few more or fewer because they group entries differently, so don’t panic if your tally is off by a page or two.

Hogwarts Castle (all wings)90
Hogsmeade30
The Highlands (all regions)30

The castle is the big one. Oh, and the Highlands pages are spread thin: most regions only hold a handful, so they’re best grabbed while you’re out doing quests anyway.

Revelio Pages

Walk up to statues, artifacts and landmarks, then cast Revelio. If a page is nearby, it lights up and you get a chime. Interact with it to log the page and its lore entry. These are the only pages with their own slots in the Collections menu, and you need all 150 for the trophy.

(Pro tip: cast Revelio every time you enter a new room, even if it looks empty. It’s free, and pages love corners.)

Flying Pages (Accio)

Look up. Flying pages loop on a fixed path over certain spots in the castle and Hogsmeade. Wait for one to come around, aim at it and cast Accio to pull it down. If you miss, it just keeps looping, so you can try again.

Moth Paintings (Lumos)

Find an empty frame with a faint moth shape. Cast Lumos, find the moths nearby, and lead them back to the frame with your wand light. Turn Lumos off once they’re inside and the painting gives up its page.

Wizard Statues (Levioso)

Look for a statue of a wizard with a large orb nearby. Cast Levioso on the orb to lift it into place. The page appears as soon as the statue is complete.

Braziers (Incendio or Confringo)

Groups of unlit braziers hide a page. Light them all with a fire spell and the page pops up. Your best bet is a fire spell with some range so you don’t have to run between each one.

Rewards: Why Bother?

  • Lore: every page adds a Field Guide entry about the place or object you found it on. It’s a surprisingly good way to learn the castle’s history.
  • Challenges: the Exploration challenges in your menu ask for set numbers of pages and pay out XP and gear appearances. Claim them from the Challenges tab once they’re done.
  • Trophy: all 150 Revelio Pages are part of the Collector’s Edition trophy and achievement, which needs every collection complete.
  • Experience: outside quests, page challenges sit alongside Merlin Trials and combat challenges as a steady source of levels.

Pro Tips for Faster Collecting

  • Learn the Spells First: Accio, Levioso, Lumos and Incendio all come from early classes and assignments. Sweeping an area before you have them means coming back later.
  • One Area at a Time: clear a whole castle wing or Highlands region, then move on. The map tracks collectibles per area, so you can see what is left.
  • Use the Map: our Hogwarts Legacy interactive map is handy for tracking down the last stubborn page in a wing.
  • Headphones Help: the Revelio chime is a big hint. Turn the effects volume up.
  • Don’t Chase Every Flying Page: you only need the Revelio set for the trophy. Pick up the puzzle pages as you pass them and use the challenge list to see which you still need.
  • Nothing Is Missable: every page is still there after the story ends, so there’s no rush.

Page hunting is one of the reasons the game is still worth picking up years later; our Hogwarts Legacy newcomer’s guide covers what else to expect.
