Natsai Onai, Natty to her friends, is the transfer student who arrives at Hogwarts with a strong sense of justice and a secret she is not ready to share. She is one of your three companions in Hogwarts Legacy, and her questline is the game’s most direct look at the poachers and dark wizards terrorizing the Highlands.

Let’s walk through this together: who Natty is, every quest in her relationship line in order, what unlocks each one and what you get at the end. Light spoilers ahead, including her big reveal.

Who Is Natsai Onai?

  • School: a fifth year Gryffindor, just like your character’s year group.
  • Where she comes from: she transferred from Uagadou, the African wizarding school, when her mother took a job at Hogwarts.
  • Her mother: Professor Onai, the new Divination professor. Their relationship is a big part of Natty’s story.
  • Her drive: she cannot stand people who prey on the weak, which puts her straight on a collision course with Theophilus Harlow, Victor Rookwood’s right hand.

You first meet her in Charms class early in the story, and she later helps you practice Accio. Her main story introduction, The Girl from Uagadou, takes you out to Lower Hogsfield and shows you exactly what she is up against.

Natty’s Relationship Quests in Order

Natty has seven relationship quests. They unlock one after another, and several also need a main story quest finished first. If the next one has not appeared, check this table.

No Stress: you can do her quests during the main story or after the credits. Nothing in her line is lost if you take a break from it.

Quest by Quest

The Lost Child

The first chapter takes you back to Lower Hogsfield, where Harlow’s people have been making life miserable for the locals. This is where Natty’s investigation into Harlow really begins.

Mum’s the Word

Okay but this part is so good. Natty asks you to come along when she talks to her mother, and this is where she reveals her secret: she is an Animagus who can take the form of a gazelle. Professor Onai is not thrilled about her daughter using it, especially on school grounds, and you get to watch that family tension play out.

Honestly? You cannot become an Animagus yourself in Hogwarts Legacy, so this is the closest the game gets to that bit of magic. It is worth slowing down for.

A Basis for Blackmail

Natty wants evidence against Harlow. You go around talking to the people he has wronged, gathering what you need to make something stick.

Grief and Vengeance and Finding Focus

These two middle chapters both start in the Great Hall. They dig into what Natty has lost and how far she is willing to go for justice, and they set the stage for the finale. Finding Focus also waits on the main quest In the Shadow of the Mountain, so keep the story moving too.

Harlow’s Last Stand

The showdown. Natty meets you at Manor Cape on the Poidsear Coast, and together you take the fight to Harlow. Bring plenty of Wiggenweld Potions and your best combat spells. It needs level 28 and the main quest The Final Repository done first.

Acting on Instinct

The epilogue, starting in the Hospital Wing after the fight. It is short, but it is the emotional close to Natty’s arc, so do not skip it.

Rewards and Why Her Story Matters

  • Story: her line is the clearest view of the poacher and dark wizard threat from someone who refuses to look away.
  • The Animagus reveal: one of the most memorable moments outside the main story.
  • Gear and XP: each chapter hands out experience and rewards that keep your character on pace with the story.
  • Completion: her seven quests count toward your relationship progress, not your side quest total.

Natty’s line is one of three companion stories. For the full picture of every quest type, our Hogwarts Legacy hub collects the rest of our guides, and the interactive map helps you find Manor Cape and Lower Hogsfield fast.

Natsai Onai FAQ

How many relationship quests does Natty have?

Seven, from The Lost Child to Acting on Instinct.

What is Natty’s Animagus form?

A gazelle. She reveals it during Mum’s the Word.

Why can’t I start Natty’s next quest?

Check your level and the prerequisites. Several of her quests need a main quest or a Sebastian quest done first, such as In the Shadow of the Mine before A Basis for Blackmail.

Where does Harlow’s Last Stand start?

At Manor Cape on the Poidsear Coast, once you are level 28 and have finished The Final Repository and Finding Focus.

The Payoff: a friend with a real backbone, a secret worth the wait and a finale that finally puts Harlow in his place. Take your time with this one. You’ve got this.
